CURG - Lake Miccosukee Sinkhole

At the end of October a new and significant sinkhole opened up at the south end of lake Miccosukee, about 270 yards north of Hwy 90. Here is an arial photo of the whole lake and a closer shot of the the cypress swamp area where the sink hole occurred.

However, due to the location it probably will not completely drain the lake, but it may tend to keep the lake levels lower than usual during dry periods, like now.
